The SurgiCenter is located at end of Crickett Lane off Trimble Road. At the end of this cul-de-sac, turn left into our newly repaved parking lot.   Front entrance is wheelchair accessible.

LETTER SENT TO YOUR PRIMARY AND/OR REFERRING DOCTOR

It is my sad duty to inform you that the Saturday Spine Clinic office we have been operating at 147 Schoolhouse Lane, Columbus, OH will be closing.   It has been a pleasure to work with you and assist in the care of your patients.

This comes in the wake of our most recent of three significant vandalisms, an armed-robbery adjacent to us wherein a firearm was discharged, a stabbing and a supposedly a murder all within a short span.  We are far from being pushed-out or intimidated.  We are well-aware of many elderly legitimate patients who are essentially trapped in their homes due to recent crime and gang activity in that neighborhood.  We succeeded in providing state-of-the-art comprehensive care in the community.  I thank my staff for making it possible that we can put our outcomes, continuity, follow-up, peer-reviewed publications, safety record and the accuracy of our image-guided interventional management side-by-side with any quaternary level center in this country.  However, this comes at a price and in the face of other factual stressors that include declining reimbursement, rising overhead, 2 out of 3 patients diagnosed with concomitant or primary substance-abuse disorders, a 96% non-compliance rate on urine drug screens, poor police response, and regular direct verbal threats from patients, I feel I can no longer risk the safety of my staff.

New patients will be received in consultation up to Dec 1, 2007 and established patients will be notified before the end of the year.  No one will be abandoned.  Every patient has the option to be seen in the Mansfield office and we are considering looking for a new home in Columbus.
